MatchPad is developed and operated by MatchPad Technologies (Pty) Ltd, registration number 2026/344948/07 ("we", "us", or "our"). This privacy policy explains what data the app collects, how it is used, and your rights as a user. This policy is governed by the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013 (POPIA) of the Republic of South Africa.
MatchPad does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data with external servers or third parties. All data created within the app — including player names, match scores, tournament results, and match history — is stored locally on your device only. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us or anyone else.
When using subscription features, purchase transactions are processed by Google Play. If Adapty (our subscription management provider) is enabled, anonymised device identifiers and purchase receipts may be shared with Adapty solely to verify and manage your subscription. No personally identifiable information is shared with Adapty.

No data is transmitted externally via Bluetooth. All communication is local between your devices.
MatchPad uses your device's text-to-speech and audio output to announce scores during matches. No audio is recorded, stored, or transmitted.
MatchPad requests access to your device's images for two purposes:
All images are processed locally on your device. MatchPad does not upload, transmit, or share any images to external servers.
When you choose to share a Victory Card, the image is passed to Android's standard share sheet and sent via whichever app you select (e.g. WhatsApp, Instagram). This sharing action is entirely under your control and initiated by you — MatchPad does not control or have access to where you send it.
MatchPad uses an internet connection solely to:
No personal data, match data, or player data is transmitted over the internet.
All app data is stored locally in the app's private storage on your Android device. This data is removed when you uninstall the app.
MatchPad is intended for users aged 18 and over. The app does not knowingly collect data from children under the age of 13.
When using the multi-court scoring feature, match scores are transmitted directly between devices over a local Bluetooth connection or local Wi-Fi network. This data does not leave your local environment and is not accessible to the developer or any third party.
MatchPad may use the following third-party service:

Given that MatchPad stores all data locally on your device only, the primary means of exercising these rights is by editing or deleting data within the app itself, or by uninstalling the app which removes all locally stored data.
